Double-Sided Deshedding Comb
$7.45 – $7.73
Two blade rows on one comb: one opens the mats, the other lifts out the loose undercoat.
- One side breaks the mat, the other takes the fur Two rows of curved stainless blades on one head. The wide-spaced row works into a knot from the outside; flip it over and the close-set row lifts out the dead undercoat it just freed.
- Use them in that order Done right, a mat comes apart instead of getting yanked. Go in with the close-set side first and you're dragging a rake into a knot that hasn't been opened yet, and your dog will tell you about it.
- Rounded blade ends They cut hair, not skin, and the black spacers stop any blade digging deeper than it should.
- A grip that doesn't mind wet hands Rubber the whole way down, with a hole in the end to hang it behind a door.
- Two head widths, same handle Small for faces, legs, tails and little dogs. Wide for a big dog's flank and back.
- How to use it Go with the coat, never against it, in short strokes from the shoulders back. On a mat, grab the fur at the base in your fist and work the blade against your own hand so your grip takes the pull instead of your dog's skin. Rinse and dry the blades before you hang it up.
